What the job is all about
- There is the possibility of further training, for example full-time or part-time, to become a technician in order to work not only in production, but also in the development and work preparation of components, or to take a master craftsman’s examination a few years after your apprenticeship
- Due to the general shortage of skilled workers, there is a high chance of being taken on after your apprenticeship at the training company and, in the long term, employment in many different production facilities
Apprenticeship Overview
- All methods of metalworking: e.g. milling, drilling, filing, sawing, turning
- Read, prepare and work according to technical documents
- Creating CNC programs for computer-controlled milling machines
- Setting up conventional machines and CNC machines for milling or turning
- Maintenance and servicing of machines
- Monitoring of the production process, quality inspection and assurance of the work results
What We’re Looking For
- Good secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate
- Craftsmanship and technical understanding
- Solid basic knowledge of mathematics and physics
- Good spatial awareness
- Independent way of working
- Sense of responsibility, determination, ability to work in a team
Apprenticeship duration
- 3.5 years
- Shortening possible with appropriate performance or previous education
